Speaker: Prof. Tim (Qin) Sheng

Dr. Sheng received his Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Professor Arieh Iserles. After his postdoctoral research with Professor Frank T. Smith, FRS, in University College London, he joined the National University of Singapore in 1990. Since then, Dr. Sheng has been on the faculty of several major universities, including his most recent appointment at Baylor University, a R1 institution in the USA. He is associated with the Mathematics Department, Data Science Hub, and Center for Astrophysics, Space Physics, and Engineering Research (CASPER). He has been a member of the SIAM and the AMS.
